Monika Rathod is an aspiring film editor currently based in Miami, Florida. Her journey into video editing began at a young age when she discovered the online virtual game Free Realms. She not only immersed herself in the game’s world but began recording and editing footage of her character and friends, creating music videos that captured the fun and excitement of their shared experiences.
As her passion for editing grew, Monika transitioned from working with game footage to making real-life music videos with friends. These early projects helped her develop her skills in storytelling and visual composition. What started as a hobby soon became a form of expression, where she could turn everyday moments into something memorable through the art of editing.
Monika's dedication to her craft led her to pursue a film degree at the University of Miami, where she continued to hone her skills in narrative editing. Whether working on short films or personal projects, Monika is driven by the power of editing to evoke emotion and tell compelling stories. Her focus is always on creating impactful visual experiences that connect with audiences on a deeper level.
When Monika isn’t editing, she enjoys spending time with her dog, watching films, and creating memories with her friends and family.
